Tuesday 13 March 2012

I've been hatching plans and super excited to tell you that we're planning
our very first Lady Magpie & Me event.
The Summer Fête will take place at the Town Hall in the bustling market town, Castle Douglas. Make sure you've got Saturday 4th August in your diary if you love nothing better than shopping for a wonderful curated mix of handmade, design, art, vintage, food, crafts and more! We'll also have a vintage tea room on the day serving homebaking delights!

Having had to travel to exhbit at events and fairs to sell my wares, I felt that it was about time there was a fair that I myself would want take part in or visit in the South West of Scotland.
Having visited some craft fairs locally I always come away feeling slightly disappointed.  With my love of all things vintage it seemed only natural to organise a Summer  Fête. I hope to have a wonderful curated mix of sellers on the day, its the first of this type of fair in the region. I am determined that this is a successful event and my hope is that it becomes a twice yearly event in Dumfries & Galloway.

So we're on the hunt for designer/makes of gifts, accessories, clothes, homewares, stationary. Or artists, photographers, illustrators, vintage sellers, makers of food, chocolate, cheese, pies, pickles or preserves etc. Prospective exhibitors can email Leah at ladymagpieandme@leahhalliday.co.uk for an application form and more information.

We've created a Lady Magpie & Me facebook page to keep interested folks up to date with what we've got planned. We'll also be sharing some sneaky peeks of some of our wonderful stallhoders who will be setting up shop there on the day. Head on over and Like!

Please spread the word if you know anyone else who may be interested either to take part or would love to come along and enjoy all the fun of the fair!
